I was wondering what custom setting i should use for a nice 1080p 30fps
Right now i try to use ultrafast:ex:crf:21 I see bitrate spike up to 8000 sometimes
I never drop frames or anything, I have 15mbps Upload and 60mbps download
I seem is idle around 50% cpu while watchign a 1080p youtube video and obs shows constant 29-31 fps so thats good i think

Are there any better quality settings?
Not sure I like quality 10 as much as I like crf 21

you don't have to type crf in the custom field if its between 18 and 31.. you can just use the quality setting a value of 8 or 7 is the same as crf=21 btw that's how you should do it in the custom field for obs "parameter=value"

ok so try the veryfast preset because 1080p is not worth it on ultrafast imo..

also the bitrate should not be too high.. anything above 3000 and the regular viewers starts getting lag if they live far away from the twitch server or if their total bandwidth is very limited..

the spikes are sometimes a miscalculation on the status bar (though I will probably check the code regardless and make sure).

I think your quality is possibly being held back by the preset here rather than your bitrate, though I couldn't say for sure. not sure what your CPU can handle. not sure why you're using ultrafast; your CPU doesn't seem all that slow at all. it should almost always be on veryfast unless you have a very good reason for changing it.
