"Settings changed" and close every time I add a media source

Hi! I'm trying to replicate my stream on Linux (Nobara 39) and whenever I add a media source or an image to the scene I get the message in the photo 'Settings changed, do you want to keep them?

If I click save or discard, OBS closes. If I click cancel sometimes it will stay open, but I don't understand why this is coming up in the first place. Can anyone shed light on why this happens and how to avoid it closing?

I will often try to pull up an image in the middle of stream and if adding an image source causing a crash, that's definitely not good when live!

To further elaborate on the same-ish behaviour: whenever I add a mask to a source, the program just closes. No dialogue box like the above, just closes.
