I need to do a split screen video podcast using OBS and Skype along with capturing browser or game windows.
I guess the main question would be is there a guide somewhere that tells how to properly setup and connect between Skype and OBS? I do fine making recordings by myself but when I try to add Skype into the mix problems pop up like not having any audio, the video not working on one end or the other, etc. I didn't find anything in the Guides section of the site here that seemed to be what I was needing. My hope is to make a recording where we can see both presenters, hear them, plus be able to scene switch over to a window capture of the software or website we are discussing.
1) When I did a test recording with a friend OBS recorded the Skype audio but it did not record mine. Without Skype running it records my voice just fine.
2) When I try to record both my webcam (via its global source) and the Skype video then the person on the other end of the Skype conversation can't see my video. Is there a way to allow the webcam video to go to both OBS and to Skype at the same time?
I hope these things make sense. I can clarify things if I wasn't clear enough. Thank you for any help you might be able to provide!
