Setting up previous scenes on new SSD

So, I recently had a new SSD installed on my streaming laptop, and it required a new install of Windows 10. I had to download OBS Studio again, but I'm not sure how to get the scene setup I had before. I still have the old disk and it still has all the data. Is there a way to get the scenes from there onto the new SSD?

Yes you can, though you'll have to do it the harder way
the recommend approach is before the new SSD/OS install is in OBS to do a Scene Collection export and then import on new build
But the settings are contained in a file (sorry not in front of OBS PC at the moment, maybe someone else with give more explicit guidance)

a search in this forum on where scene settings saved should point you in the right direction

Unfortunately, I've already installed the new SSD and installed OBS. I'm still new to streaming, so I wasn't aware of export/import

I found this thread about transferring between computers: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/copy-obs-settings-scenes-to-another-computer.5520/

The old SSD still has the full files, and I was able to find the appdata/obs-studio folder on the old one, should I copy/paste? I'm just nervous about trying this and messing up everything

You can copy the entire obs-studio folder over, this contains your settings and scene collections. Note that you may have to update paths if the files or directories referenced in your settings or scene collections no longer exist.
