Hi,
I am recording a lot of video games with my PC and I have some trouble with recording (especially lag in OBS with missing frames). I often stream (via Twitch) but I record a lot of video offline. I did many searches accross the web and tried different configurations but the issue is still not solved.
Here is my config:
i5 3570K
16go RAM
SSD 256go
AMD 7870 2go
Windows 8.1 pro
OBS 0.656b
Cable connection 20Mbits/10Mbilts
Here is my OBS setup:
1. Offline video:
Encoder x264
Use CBR unchecked
Max bitrate 1500
Buffer size 0
AAC 44.1khz 128 stereo
1920*1080
40 FPS (actually, I would like 60)
Use multithread
Process priority normal
x264CPU Preset: veryfast
Encoding profile: main
Use CFR checked
Custom x264 Encoder settings checked with the following value: "crf=15"
2. For stream on Twitch:
Encoder x264
CBR used
Max bitrate 2200kbits / Buffer size 2200
AAC 44.1khz 128 stereo
1920*1080
Downscale 1.50 (1280x720)
Filter Bilinear
45fps (I would like having 60)
Use multithread
Process priority normal
x264CPU Preset: faster
Encoding profile: main
Use CFR checked
Custom x264 Encoder settings unchecked
I cannot use the quick sync encoder. All my drivers (Intel + GPU) are up to date.
For a video game like "Darkest Dungeon", I have 0 trouble to record something fluid and pretty. For a video games like "Warhammer Vermintide", it is like hell but without recording, I can play without any issue.
Thanks in advance for your time and I hope having solution from you guys :)
