Question / Help Set output file size to crop area

Hello, I'm trying to record a part of a window\screen to a file.

I managed to use the crop function, but.. I'm still getting the black areas in the output.
Is there a way to automatically set the video size to the crop area?

I'd prefer not having to crop it afterwards (re-encode) or to fit to window (bigger file size).

I figured out a way to do this. I'm using the studio version, but I'm guessing you can do something similar in the regular version. First I went into video settings and changed the base and output resolutions to the size capture I wanted (1024x768). Then I went into edit transform to change the top positions to shift the content until it fit perfectly in the window (-440, -191).

Worked like a charm! And it was actually easier than trying to exactly size and align a selection box. Hopefully this will work for your purposes as well.

Thanks for the reply, even if.. I managed to do it only with another method:

I had to manually select a sub-region and then click the button "Set base resolution", avoiding or resetting any shift\crop\resize.

Works, even if it doesn't make sense to change the default frame, instead of just the current one.

Btw, isn't there a way to set sources with wildcards? E.g: program* or site.com\*
(with a warning with multiple detections)
