Hello,
It looks like nginx is a popular choice for new streaming servers. What about AWS with Adobe Media Server? What are some of the pros and cons of the two options? I'm looking at setting up a new live service and I'm only just starting to research some of the options and possibilities. I've downloaded the client and looked through it (it's pretty awesome that there is a community like this developing free software to capture and stream video and audio), but the server side of things seems like more of a minefield. It looks like nginx has an RTMP module, but does it offer any major benefits over AWS/AMS other than price?
I'd welcome any other insight other than what I specifically asked as well.
Thanks
