So I have had OBS for a few weeks now so I could focus more on PC gaming rather then my consoles. When I first downloaded it set it up and ran a few hours of Everquest it ran absoultey fine. I was monitoring my stream on another device it was smooth and flawless. Ever since then everytime I start streaming and minimize OBS or even just background it it starts to lag, and will get so bad it will lock up my stream and then eventually disconnect me. If I leave it on top which is impossible for alot of the games I play it runs as smooth as day 1 (did 2 hours of Mario 64 on an EMU with OBS "always on top" and it was beautiful) but the second i background or minimize it it will go right back to lagging right out. I've changed settings, I've brought my bitrate way way down, I've skimmed these forums and watched about every BS youtube video there is on the subject (btw they are all pretty much the same video with a different person telling you the same thing). Im totally lost as what to try next. I have both OBS and OBS studio and both react the same way. Im running windows 10 dont know if that has anything to do with it, but it is very fustrating at this point. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!
