Hello!
I am looking to livestream and I need good quality audio to do it. I tried using an RCA Y cable going from the back of my Red & White Output from my Numark controller to a 3.5mm in my Mic input on my laptop but OBS would not get any signal so I ended up buying a Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen in hopes it would see something with it.
I remember when I started up everything after downloading drivers etc. for the Scarlett, I actually had great sound coming into OBS. I noticed 2 desktop audio sources were running and I think an Audio Input Capture source was running as well. I don't even remember sertting any of it up. It was like it was automatically set after I downloaded everything. Anyway I ended up messing with a few settings and I can't get my sound back to how it was.
I've tried fiddling with sound settings on my PC, sound settings in OBS, resetting all settings to default in OBS and redownloading drivers for FocusRite and so on. When I mess with mono and stereo settings in my PC's sound settings, all I can manage to get now is sound in one ear of an earbud (stereo) OR sound through both earbuds but it sounds terribly bad (mono). Mind you this is when I'm messing with the Realtek settings. I can't even get anything out of the Scarlett. Not sure what's going on at all but help would be greatly appreciated!
My Laptop is a Lenovo Y520-15IKBN running Windows 10.
