Question / Help Separating Mic Audio

is there a way to make the microphone audio separate from the game audio? that way i can edit my microphone audio, my computers fans are loud and i want to be able to remove it from my microphone with audacity. this program is awesome btw.

You mean in the recording? That currently isn't possible in OBS.

You might consider using Push-To-Talk or noise gate so that your mic isn't always recording, just recording when you talk. Not a perfect solution, but better than nothing I suppose.

dang, it sucks to record separately with audacity and then syncing it up. it's such a tedious task. wish there was a plugin that allowed multichannel recording. (ithink that's what it's called) where i can have the game capture on one channel and the audio on another so they're separate.

You could take a look at my post below jack0rs http://obsproject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2019 with this you could basically do all the stuff you would do with a seperate mic track live in obs. Stuff like compressor or noisegate or other stuff.
