Question / Help Separate Audio Stream?

I have the following audio sources coming out of my headset:

A) VoIP Program
B) Game
C) Music

I'd like people watching the stream to hear B & C but not A.

Now my first though was to use Virtual Audio Cables, but the problem is I don't use speakers, and frankly having sound coming out of my speakers in order to segregate audio seems like a hack solution.

The easiest way I could think of doing this is to select my Audio Input and dicker with Virtual Audio Cables. But I don't see that option anywhere in OBS.

Now I know this is possible in Adobe Encoder, but frankly I like the interface of OBS a lot more, so I was wondering if there was a workaround or method to do this?

tl;dr Can I select my Audio Input for OBS?

Yes, under Audio you can select your audio input. Mute the desktop audio, then select the VAC device, with your music and game set to output to VAC.

Thanks R1CH,

I actually ended up doing it the exact opposite way. I thought about the audio input method but I figured I'd basically have to use the mic as an audio input.

Specifically, I ended up doing:

Under Windows Sound:
Set Line 1 as Default Audio
VoIP Output as Headset

Listen to Device Line 1 under Recording -> Output to Headset

Really appreciate the speedy reply!

EDIT: Yeah actually only 1 Line is required, notes above edited to reflect.

Using VAC as a default audio device might cause timestamp issues in OBS (laggy / skipping stream), it did for me at least.

Thanks again,

I actually tried to stream it through the auxiliary sound device under Audio settings in OBS, but couldn't really figure out a way to set the game sound output only to the VAC.

As for skipping streams, it took some tinkering with the VAC settings but it seems to have sorted itself out.
