Sending OBS Output to iPad via Roland Switcher

Hey Folks.
I got excited when finally, iOS 17 enabled iPads to be used as an external display via HDMI.

Naturally, I wanted to try this out with OBS Studio. My switcher is a Roland VR-1HD. The iPad is connected to the main HDMI output on the switcher. The switcher is seen by OBS Studio as the video input device, and I'm using an iPhone on one of the three HDMI inputs via Apple's digital A/V adapter, which has an HDMI port where I have one end of an HDMI cable, the other attached to the input not he switcher.

In OBS Studio, it's able to see the switcher, and displayed is a test screen from the iPhone. I have a lower-third overlay too on the main OBS screen.

What I'm not able to do is to send the main OBS output, including overlay, to the iPad. The iPad is able to see the iPhone screen, but not the lower third. When I enter Fullscreen Projector mode, obviously the iPad does not show up there as a source.

at this time, is it even possible to have the main OBS screen be sent to the iPad? I am on macOS Monterey.

Thanks!
