"Scroll only if doesn't fit" option in Text Source

Hi. I've just got a simple idea: what about an option to scroll the text only if it's longer than custom text extents? If, for example, song's title is too short, simply let the user decide how to align it, and if it's longer and won't fit, then scroll it. I hope you know what I mean :)
