Script to start and stop recording

Hi, I'm brand new to OBS and hence an immediate appology if this has been answered before. I'm fairly techy and I want to start a recording at a specific time and stop recording at a specific time. I've looked at Output Timer which can stop recording but this does not meet my need. Then I looked at scripts and Python and I wonder if there is a script to start recording at a specific time and stop later at a spefic time. If so please point to how I can achieve this objective.

The idea here is that OBS is already running, and then Adv. SS takes it from there. Any way to start OBS is fine, but it does have to be running, with the correct Scene Collection because that's where the macros are stored.

And of course, you can do a TON more with it too! Poke around and see what you find.
