Question / Help Screen recording with LOSSLESS audio?

Hello guys. I have a few questions about recording audio in OBS Studio:
1. Is there any way to record lossless audio while capturing the screen? Let's say my .FLAC music is played in background. What render settings and which container should I use to get the audio lossless? (I need it for YouTube)
2. Is it possible to record audio to a separate track? In uncompressed lossless .WAV format or in compressed but still lossless .FLAC format? For example, how to record my microphone to a separate (from video) track. Is it possible to do in OBS Studio?

OBS does not offer lossless audio formats; you'll have to record audio using a separate program, then combine the lossless audio with the captured video using a video editing program.

OBS is primarily meant to be used as a livestreaming tool; recording is a secondary function, originally mostly meant for saving a local copy of a livestream.

You might be able to use the FFmpeg recording output mode to record in FLAC, but will mostly be on your own as far as getting that set up.

You can also download the itunes installier, extract the AppleApplicationSupport.msi and AppleApplicationSupport64.msi from the Setup file (using 7zip for example) and install those two msi files, so OBS will then automatically use the slightly better aac encoder from apple.
https://www.apple.com/de/itunes/download/

With those installed and audio bitrate in OBS at 192kbit/s, the quality is very good.

Having itunes infesting your computer isn't worth marginally better audio. Far as I know the AAC encoding library is the same anyway.

You don't install itunes, just the encoder and yes, you can hear the quality difference compared to the aac codec, that OBS comes with (especially on lower kbit/s like 128kbit/s).
