Bug Report screen recording not working

for some reason, when I add a recording of the screen or of google chrome or half of the other programs OBS doesn't receive anything and the screen stays black. does anyone know how I fix this? I tried to search it on youtube but found nothing...

I am using a laptop but I tried following these instructions and it didn't work, what should I do?

If you're trying to capture chrome, hardware acceleration in chrome needs to be off.

If you're trying to capture something else, run a session (start, stop) and then upload a log.

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...
