Screen Recording is Pixelated in Premiere Pro

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on an OBS screen recording being edited in Premiere Pro...
  • In OBS my base and output resolutions are 1920x1080, downscale filer is Lanczos, and common FPS values are 30.
  • When I play the recording on my computer, it looks great! But when I upload it into Premiere Pro, it's super pixelated.
Thank you for your help!

I played around a little more...

It looks like I need to select a sequence in PP with the appropriate dimensions to start with because once I create one, the frame sizes under "Sequence Settings" are unchangeable - any suggestions on what those should be, in addition to the ones in OBS?

Also, if I stop the recording in PP, sometimes it looks clear, but looks more blurry when I start playing it again - maybe I need to change the FPS values as well. So I guess whatever suggestions anyone has on the ideal settings I should be using in OBS + PP, would be great help LOL.

And this is all to create a recorded evergreen webinar BTW.

Thank you!

More updates - looks like things are getting sorted out...

Sidenote: I am very experienced with Photoshop and editing images, but I am brand new to recording and editing audio, video, OBS + PP, I did more research the last 2 days and it's ongoing, but so far I've figured out....

I was using a Google Slides template I downloaded, so I saved one slide down as a JPEG and found the resolution was only 1280x720, and since I was screencasting that, then uploading that into PP, the resolution of the PP sequence would max out at 720x480 and was showing up pixelated (as well as when I was trying to get the dimensions of the sequence to be higher).

Then I searched around for new templates on Canva, downloaded one slide as an image and that one comes out at 1920x1080. Screencast that, uploaded to PP and after making just these two adjustments, it appears to be showing up much more clearly in PP already - hooray!

New questions:

1. When I add a new browser as a source in OBS and I use the URL to my Google Slides presentation, it shows the log-in screen to gmail, but this window isn’t open anywhere else and I’m already logged in. But if I use a different URL to YouTube for example, it works. Also able to get it to work if I add the source as a window capture.
2. The new Sequence settings in PP are set to: DVCPROHD / 1080p / DVCPROHD 1080p24 does it sound like I'm selecting the correct one?

Thanks!

However, if you've read my follow up messages and updates, you'd see that I've basically got everything working on my "potato system."

What else are you running besides OBS
I didn't see it in the log but what bitrate is the video Just recording, not streaming, you can go quite high for better quality
