Question / Help Screen overlay for twitch that doesn't show up on menus?

Hi all,

I know how to make a screen overlay, but is there a way to set it up so that it does not show up when in the in-game menus, only when the game is in session? I am playing Infinite Crisis.

Unfortunately OBS cannot know when you are in session or in the menu. An option I could think of would be to setup 2 scenes, one with the overlay, one without. Then you have to switch yourself with a hotkey. (Remember each scene can have its own hotkey)

EDIT: The Scene Switcher plugin can switch scenes if you change windows, but it also cannot know when you are playing or not, it will just know if you are in the game or on your desktop for example.
