Question / Help Screen FROZEN when using monitor capture.

Whenever i try to preview or record my desktop with monitor capture, it is always displaying a single frame of the desktop right after I hit "Preview" or "Record." I was using the default settings, that didn't work so I went to YouTube and copied settings from videos. None of them worked. However if I do window capture, I am able to record just fine. What is going on?

Monitor capture rarely works well on laptops with switchable graphics.

No total solution, I just use window capture and it does the job.
