Screen Capture on Mac OS when Screen Mirroring from iPad

I'm a teacher running OBS on a Mac Mini for Zoom. I teach off of an iPad and I have been screen mirroring from the iPad to the Mac Mini through airplay. For the last two years I could also run Mac OS Screen Capture in OBS so that my Zoom students could see exactly what I projected onto the screen via Airplay.

Starting *I believe* with the upgrade to Tahoe, I get a black screen whenever I try to use screen mirroring while OBS has the Screen capture running. I suspect this is security so that people can't record movies as a workaround? But this is just my own screen, not running copyright content. Is there anything I can do to get the old function back?

Pretty sure this is a Tahoe security change - macOS started restricting screen capture when AirPlay mirroring is active at the same time. I teach online too and ran into similar display capture weirdness after an OS update. Try adding a Window Capture source instead of Display Capture and targeting the specific app window your content is in, that's worked around similar restrictions for me.
