Screen Capture Laptop works but PS4 doesn't

I have a Mac Mini running Big Sur. I'm able to see my Dell laptop through a screen capture dongle in OBS, but when I try to use the PS4 I get the rainbow vertical bars. Hours of googling and youtubing later and I still can't get it to work. Please help!!
