Question / Help Scenes for different games question

Is it a good practice to untick everything from scenes that wont be used during streams? A lot of them are just global scenes that are placed on different areas so I dont have to adjust the current scene each time I switch games. Does have active scenes, even though they arent actually being used, take up resources?

Ok, just to make clear, you mean untick a Source right?
Scenes are on the left section of OBS, each scene can hold different Sources (middle section of OBS) and the sources allow you to capture stuff or add an image etc. So your question is if deactivated sources still take up ressources.
The answer is, they should not, except for Global Sources, those get loaded once and stay active in the background even if they are not visible in the current scene.

That would explain a lot then lol. I have about 6 different scenes for the games I play and each scene has the same 4 global sources. Sounds like I need to untick global sources from the scenes Im not using from now on.
