I'm thinking about using OBS for a vlog and was wondering if there is a way to do transitions between scenes like the big bux broadcasting apps have? As always thanks alot for a great piece of open source software!

Not yet, but the rewrite of OBS will have such support.
Most vlogs I know of, though, are post-produced and posted on YouTube, meaning they have recorded the video, then edited it later to add transition effects and such. Are you planning on doing a live vlog, then?

Initially I'll be casting a radio show live, but I've got one or two other projects around the corner that will be casted live aswell, so I was considering using OBS in lue of the usual $350+ options. I've actually just finished going through the development thread discussing the rewrite and I'm excited. Thanks for the prompt reply! :-)
