Question / Help Scene Too Small?

I don't know what's going on, I'm trying to record a drawing program and when I created the window capture, the program was extremely small, just at the corner of the recording preview. Then i tried to sub region it, and it still remained the same. I don't want to use monitor capture, though. How can I record my program successfully, or am I just being ignorant? I'm using a Surface Pro 4.

Okay, I think I found my problem. My base resolution wasn't correct, so I had to fiddle around with it before it looked right again. Sorry, you can remove this post.
