Strange bug but I noticed that with this box checked every time i switch a scene it lowers the volume in the volume mixer to something super low. Not sure where it got the exact value from but turning this off solves the problem, only avermedia cards get a crackling without it checked. Can this be fixed?

edit- also, scenes that dont have the capture card enabled stream absolutely no audio at all. eg if i have music playing, and switch to a scene without the capture card, all audio stops and the viewers dont hear any music. not sure if the two are related

Lowers the volume mixer? Windows volume mixer? If so, then that's not a bug with OBS, but a bug with windows. A bug windows has had for a long time actually.

If the audio is set to send to desktop, and the volume of the device in that same properties window is lower than normal, OBS glitches out and lowers the volume in the volume mixer on a scene change

it might not actually be OBSs fault windows does have a bug like you said where the "do nothing" feature of the communications tab still does something anyway, but this seems preventable on OBSs part tho i cant say for certain
