Scarlett 18i8 crackling issue when using desktop audio for recording

Hello Guys, can't find a solution anywhere, I'm running a 32gb RAM i7 6th gen 1tb SSD with a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 1st GEN. The interface been working just fine with reaper and even when I'm recording with OBS (I'm a musician). But lately I'm having this annoying issue when I use some kind of playback (youtube for example) to play over. The sound of the recording starts crackling and getting out of sync. I'm already with a 1024 buffer size and tried to play with the audio encoders options. The problem seems to keep happening. I play something for a while and its ok, but suddenly it starts crackling again. Could that be related to poor data transfering of Scarlett? Maybe because its a 1st gen. I'm using the USB cable of the manufacturer plugged into a USB 3 port. Don't know what can be causing this. It happens more often when I'm recording my desktop audio along with the Scarlett Input. I already checked the Bit depth and Sample rate are all matching.

1. don't ignore pinned post in this forum on posting OBS Studio log from a Recording/Streaming session when asking for help
2. that is an old CPU for real-time video encoding... so beware overloading computer (ie monitor hardware resource (CPU, GPU, RAM, Disk I/O) utilization
3. have you made sure Operating System audio devices all at same sampling rate (or disable within OBS Studio Global Audio settings)

the above are generic suggestions, especially appropriate to an older system. Also, as older (and possibly a bit under-powered) some Operating System optimization may be appropriate (disabling auto-start of unnecessary applications/processes)

What will have changed over time is both operating system updates and browser updates, not to mention YouTube itself.
Do you have the same problem when playing local videos (vs over the Internet, in a browser)? if issue is only when playback is browser/Internet based, you may need to look at/adjust your Browser settings
