Question / Help Scaling with 3DS Capture Card

Hi there!
I want to Stream Ocarina of Time 3D on my 3DS. I'm using a 3DS capture card (Merki, I think) which, for a long time, I just used to record with the 3DS Capture Software. Now I want to stream my gameplay, which is why I turned to OBS. I also used OBS a lot to record PC games, never streamed, though. When recording the 3ds, the screen is scaled up from 400x240p to 1800x1080p, and it results in a clean image. Doing the same with OBS, however, makes the image blurry. In the Video menu i set canvas size and outpit size to 400x240 and i force it to scale in the output menu. what am i doing wrong? and is there a better alternative to using window capture? maybe a plugin for 3ds capture for obsstudio? All i could find was for classic.

Thanks in advance!

Try the "Area" resize filter. It is made for rescaling such kind of pixel graphics and is new with OBS 24.x.
By the way, you might get better image quality if you don't rescale but send the native resolution and let the player of your viewers do the resizing.

I tried that, and it works great! the video looks way better that way. Thank you
