Question / Help Saving multiple filter presets for one video capture device

Hello all,

I am using OBS in order to SyphonInject a chroma-keyed image from a live camera into another software. I have one camera that is running through a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle, and I have three preset effect filters to key out three different colors for three different scenes (pink, yellow, and blue.)

If I load my Blackmagic device as an input and rename it three different names within each scene, I can apply separate chroma key filters for each scene. The problem I am encountering is that OBS will only load the output image in one of my Blackmagic input devices at a time. So, when I open Scene 1, it loads the camera, the background, and the correct filters. But when I load Scene 2, it shows the name of my Blackmagic device under my inputs, but the actual camera image does not appear in the composite image. It is still loaded in my Scene 1. The only way I can get it to switch is by quitting OBS and opening it again. I do not like doing this, because then I also need to re-SyphonInject my image into my cueing software. This is very irritating for me, especially because I am hoping to have someone else run this software during the run of the performance.

Is there some way to make OBS record three different effect presets for one video capture device that I can cycle through or toggle on and off, without having me restart the program every time? Or load the same image capture device into three separate scenes with different presets, but to have the SAME video in EVERY scene.

Please let me know if anyone has any ideas. I have not used OBS for gaming purposes, I am using it for more robust control of the chroma key effect. Thank you!

I have discovered that I can add a chroma key to the scene itself. Cool. But this also keys out whatever I am using within the background that happens to be the same color. Sad :(

Can I layer two scenes on top of each other....?

I fixed it! It is not great but I have:

Scene 1: Only camera input, no filters
Scene 2: A scene with the camera input and the correct color key attached
Scene 3: A composite scene that has Scene 2 over the correct background.

Silly but it seems to be working....

Now my only issue is OBS will only sometimes load the JPEGs I am loading as background images. :/

I tried with PNG and they also did not work. I will investigate farther back into this forum.
