Question / Help saved videos arnt videos

when ever i record a video i go to watch the video but when i go into the file they are saved in they are not videos but its a ton of coding on a notepad why? and how can i fix this?

By installing a media player that is actually good.
Like vlc.

And don't try to open videos in notepad.
