Question / Help Sampling Rate Doesn't Match Audio Interface + VM Banana

Alright so I'm a broadcaster on Twitch and I use OBS to stream. I recently upgraded to an XLR mic (Rode NT1 + Focusrite Scarlett 2 interface) and I'm using that with Voicemeeter banana to control my outputs to stream.

I don't really understand sampling rate but I know that I was having some issues until recently where my microphone was crackling on broadcast a lot till I changed the broadcast rate to 16 bit single channel 96k. With some more research I've just now changed my Voicemeeter control panel to make the sampling rate of VM to 96k to match my microphone. Since I don't really have time to test this out properly before next broadcast with an hour of talking (need to go out somewhere) will this fix the crackling issue more likely than not?

Also more importantly, OBS doesn't let me choose anything other than a 48k and 44.1k sampling rate. Since there is no 96k rate to match to my interface, what do I do?
