The output port of the capture device is supposed to be an unchanged passthrough. What happens if you connect the monitor directly to the computer that drives it, without the capture? Does that work?

Yes, it works perfectly

I'd suspect a bad capture card then, or maybe a bad cord that you can't include in the direct connection. You are using the same port from the computer, right? Still through the HDMI->VGA converter?

You might also try an HDMI splitter, to feed the monitor and the capture card separately. The capture card is supposed to have that built-in, as a better approximation of how it actually works, but if that part is bad somehow, then you can move it outside.

exactly,My computer has hdmi input, but I have a vga monitor, I suspect it must be the chip that converts vga to hdmi, I would have to test it on my TV.
