Hi folks, and thanks in advance for your help. Similar to live events on television, I would like to set up a 3-second video and audio delay for a Zoom meeting between an adult and young children. I would like to have the ability to prevent the children from a negative experience during the Zoom meeting. How do I set up a video and audio delay so that if the adult says or does anything inappropriate, I can cut off the video/audio before the children see or hear it?

OBS has a delay filter, but it only works on the picture, not sound. For sound, you need something external to OBS. Yes, that's annoying, but OBS's audio has been borderline useless for years without an actual audio guy on the team. They know that, but they're afraid to touch it.
That said though, there's still a practical challenge:
Somehow, you need to see the un-delayed version, so you can identify a problem, and cut off the output of the delay while the problem is still working its way through that delay...but without the kids looking over your shoulder or listening to what *you* hear.
How would you achieve that separation? Are you setting up a limited-access studio for a Zoom meeting? Is there someone else to watch the kids? The same person can't do both without defeating the delay.
