Bug Report S-video input from V4L2 video capture device black and white (Linux)

If I use tvtime (a TV tuner application for Linux) both composite and S-video work correctly with its defaults, and I see the picture in color. In OBS, composite works correctly so long as I choose NTSC-M, but S-video is black and white no matter what format/standard I choose.

I'm using a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR1850, and I'm using OBS 0.9.1 on Arch Linux.

I'm having this same problem. For the life of me I cannot figure it out. TVTime is fine, but v4l2 capture is black and white. With Elgato I can't get colour even out of TVTime, but with my Hauppauge, I can get colour out of TVTime, but anything v4l2 (such as VLC, OBS, etc) it's black and white on s-video. Even worse this is forcing me to capture COLOUR footage from my game via screen capture which is AWFUL, you gotta keep the window in the forefront or it loses it's capture and just "pauses" the game on the stream. If you've gained any solution to this. Let me know. :)
