Ryzen 9 5950x / x264 encoder / blurry

Hello, I just got a new PC with a Ryzen 5950x and a radeon 6900 XT.
I used hardware encoding at first, but viewers complained its too blurry. I read AMDs encoder is nowhere near Nvidias, so I tried x264 today.

I used medium CPU speed, main profile, 6k bitrate. and besides my CPU cooking on 90 degrees, it was still blurry.
link to VOD https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1017815936 however I feel like iam going down a rabbit hole here, trying to get better quality than whats possible with a single PC setup. my games performance was just fine fps wise during the stream.

If anyone can check this log and tell me if something is wrong there, I would be very gratefull.
thanks alot in advance.

First of all you should get a better cooler, a 5950x start to thermal throttle at 90°C and OBS does not produce 100% load on your CPU, so if there is really 100% load at some time you wouldn't be able to use all the power a 5950x offers.

To your encoding:
Don't use main profile, use high. Than increase your bitrate, your total bitrate budget is 8500 kbit/s and because you use x264 as encoder you should see a lot less fluctuation in your bitrate profile. If you audio bitrate is 160kbit/s, 8250kbit/s for the video would be a good start. With that you stay pretty much at the same BPP as with 1600x900 but don't introduce blur through scaling.

If you want to go the scaling route. Don't ever use 1600x900 it is not dividable by 8. Here a list of scaling that work better. https://pacoup.com/2011/06/12/list-of-true-169-resolutions/
936p or 864p would work.
Also don't use Lanczos for scaling, it is more blurry than bicubic even if the description the opposite

thanks alot for your help!

I installed AI suite 3 and it turned out my chassis fans were at 30% while my CPU was getting cooked. I couldnt set them up using the smart mode so I fixed them at 90%. my cpu fan would chill scale down to 50% as soon as the cpu temperature dropped briefly below 80 degrees. after setting this one up correctly (smart mode worked here). Iam at 60 degrees when playing black desert online instead of 80. when I max all fans its more like 55 degrees.

I will try streaming tomorrow using:
536x864
Bicubic
60 fps
CBR
7.5k bitrate
medium
high

I will check the temperture. but I probably need a new CPU cooler and another chassis fan. hope I didnt damage my CPU the last days...
