Question / Help Ryzen 1700x not performing as it should.

So, i got this new Fancy Rig, consisting of a Ryzen 1700x, a Gtx 1080, decent mobo, 16gig of drr4 ram, everything.

I am streaming PUBG, and my rig does not get close to doing what it should.

I know people with a ryzen 1700 that can stream at higher bitrate, AND slower encoding settings, without any frames dropped.

After Checking with MSI afterburner, it seems that 4 of the ryzen cores shut down when i stream high settings, leaving the other 4 unable to carry the load. Is that a software problem with obs not using the cores? Is it a cooling problem? I have a good cooler, that should tecnically not be the problem.

Im sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, im just trying to find some help with the issue.

Here is a Log i made just now, starting at high settings, turning them down, and still experiencing high amounts of drop and lag ingame.

The log does not show an actual recording or streaming, you must have grabbed the wrong log file.
My Ryzen 1700x is using all cores, when streaming, it can handle down to x264 medium preset in 720p 60fps and slow on 720p 30fps as long as the games are not utilizing many Threads (ARK, Rocket League, League Of Legends etc.).

Maybe your problem is just a basic settings error like running the game without any fps limit / vsync which will totally bottleneck the GPU or CPU (depending on the game and the GPU).
Especially with your fast GTX1080, you will run into CPU bottlenecks on some cores, if you don't cap the games fps.

Sorry, i might try to find a real vod then. I am alright with sacrificing game fps, but the fact that only 4 of 16 logic cores get used, makes it look like the problem is somewhere else right?
Also, I had the same problem with my 970.
I mean, thats not a bottleneck, thats just software not using the hardware?
Thats what it seems to me, i dont mean to offend or anything, just trying to solve my problem :)
