Question / Help Runs VERY slowwwww...

I installed Studio and while it works it is really slow.
If I click on a menu item it takes about 4 or 5 seconds to open.
The entire program is slow.

I installed it twice and same results.

Any idea or is this problem.unique to me?

I'm running Windows 7/64bit
I didn't add a log file because I have un-installed it but if needed I will re-install and do the log file.

Thanks guys.

They're not links to download Windows 10. The first is for the Visual C++ redistributable package and the second is for DirectX.

Sorry, only saw the W10..
Why do I have to install those.
I believe I already have DirectX

Unless there is something special about those that I need them to run Studio.

Thanks

They include the software components that OBS requires of directx that aren't part of the default install.

I installed them and rebooted and Studio is working but it still seems a little sluggish.
When I click on the drop down menus, like FILE EDIT HELP etc. sometimes they open quickly and sometimes they take several seconds to open and also to close.
Also the scene menus take forever to name.
It is an improvement from before installing what you suggested.

I'm gonna post a log file..

I'll play with it some more and see what happens.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

its a dx10 card, im not sure but obs probably requires dx11 hardware for video mixing.
tbh with no hardware encoder there is no way to run obs well on this pc. "x264 low cpu" from simple mode _maybe_ would work for recording but in general its too slow

I am running OBS just fine with no problems..All the problems are with OBS STUDIO.
Anyway, thanks for the reply...I'll probably un-install Studio and stay with OBS until I can run Studio without these problems.

Yes, I know..I built this a long time ago.
Recently I was looking at motherboards and processors to build another one.

Thanks for your replies...

In program - it's only control for fast switching. It doesn't matter where you are going to switch it off.
