We were given an RTMP url by an interviewer but we don't know what we're supposed to do with it.

Is OBS compatible for use with it, and if so, how do we use it?

I would have to see specifically what was given in order to tell you what to do with it, though I'm assuming you probably shouldn't share that info. OBS is fine with RTMP URLs. rtmp://test.bla.orgh/live for example, with a playpath/key of some sort. Just set OBS to use 'custom'
