Question / Help Rocksmith / OBS Sound Crackling Problem

Does anyone know why I am getting an almighty crackle when I start OBS either streaming or recording? I am not having this problem unless I start up OBS. As someone who wants to start streaming this game, it's a bit of a hiccup to say the least. :D

I have linked to a video and screenshots of settings below. Please ignore the rubbish playing towards the end. :D

Any and all help would be immensely appreciated! :)

Please check your CPU load while streaming.

If it's very high, the load might interfere with the ability of your PC to process USB data e.g. for the rocksmith cable and sound output.

Might already too high for a BufferSize of 4 in Rocksmith. Increase it step by step until the cracking stops.

Rocksmith is problematic in general to stream, unless you're playing on console or a traditional-style 2 PC setup, via a capture card. I beat my head against it for a few weeks before I just gave up. Even if the crackling gets fixed, the necessity of keeping the audio hardware in non-exclusive mode so OBS can pick it up causes an extreme amount of in-game delay and desync, every time I tried to get it to work.

I know that Gryphonboy was able to get it working somehow, but he hasn't gone into specifics anywhere as far as I'm aware.

Thanks, Ferret. I've tried the various suggested "fixes" over the last few weeks with nothing working. Looks like I'm gonna have to concede defeat.

Looking forward to catching your stream again soon!

Thanks again!
