Question / Help Robotic voice echo sound in Twitch

so i was streaming for the first time yesterday through my turtlebeach x12 headphones and using my webcam (only used for video not audio) and i was talking with my friend as i played and she would check my stream for me periodically to make sure it was going right, it worked fine at first but eventually she said i had a alien/robotic echo to the audio, and i checked it myself and i could see what she was sayng, tried stopping and starting the stream again and it still had the same problem. but as i was talking to her over curse voice it didnt have that problem at all. can anyone help me to figure out the cause of this?
 
I had the same issue using only my webcam mic. I figured out that even though my mic was turned off on my webcam in OBS it still tried to double or distort my voice. I had to go to settings>settings>audio and disable my mic there and turn it on where my webcam was added instead. Now it sounds fine but I can't use the audio options to boost my mic :(
