Question / Help Robot voice after 4 hours of streaming in OBS

Hi,

After getting my new audio setup, I seem to get a "robotic" voice after streaming for 4 hours :/

This issue started after I got my new audio setup and keeps occurring when my stream has been running for a few minutes over 4 hours, strangely enough.

This is my new setup:

Microphone: Shure SM7B
Preamp: DBX 286s
Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 2i4

I have never had any audio issues before in OBS, and it only started happening when I switched to the equipment above.

The problem only occurs when I have been streaming for 4 hours in OBS, but will then also affect the mic audio if I use it other places, like Discord.

Seems like the problem is linked to OBS, as it only happens when I have been streaming for 4 hours.

I have tried to solve this problem for a while now, but nothing seems to work and I have gotten to a point where I am clueless to what is causing this.

I am getting the same issue in OBS and OBS Studio.

If you watch the end of my latest vod(04:07:00), you can see and hear what I am talking about :/

You can also see that it happens right as I cross the 4 hour mark of streaming and this seems to be consistent.

Fun thing to note is that a friend called me on steam, while this was happening and the issue went away, but returned when the call was canceled.

I hope someone might know what could be causing this :(

Sincerely

Hellestrup

I have the same issue but not after 4 hours but like after 10 minutes... sometimes right after i press the ''start streaming'' button.
I got the same microphone and the same interface. tried to solve this problem but cant find the issue.

It is the driver, talked to Focusrite earlier today and they gave me a new driver to test out, but the result was even worse. My issue still happens at 4 hours though.

I recommend you contact Focusrite. I am going to link this thread in my reply to them and show others have similar issues.

I contacted them and they made me go through some dpc test.
The dpc test showed great results when i did everything except streaming. So the one helping me said that i can use the interface for everything else than streaming....

I only have issues streaming aswell.

Are you able/going to return it now? I am guessing it might be kinda useless if we can't use it when streaming.

Yea I am using the C920 and I even tried messing with it's settings before, to no avail.

I am going to do a test stream without the camera on I guess.

Looking forward to hear your reply from Logitech :)

I use the same webcam. And i reinatalled the drivers. Did a test stream for some minutes and friends in chat comfirmed that it worked. So delete all logitech drivers. Reboot the computer. Then install the logitech drivers for the webcam and it should work.

Hello :D. Same problem here. Using a Scarlett 2i2 Gen2 Audio Interface and have this problem. Did you found any solution for it?
All drivers updated, BIOS updated, fresh Windows10 install and still have the problem.

No solution and Focusrite eventually gave up finding one, even though they were able to simulate the issue :/

I ending up buying a Yamaha AG06 to replace it, works great.
