Rewrite Status/Scene Transition Status

Hello,
I know there was talk of rewriting OBS to have scene transitions(fades, effects, etc...) and none of the devs have recently commented on it or the rewrite so I am wondering what the status is on that part of OBS.

Still on the to-do list. There have been other things that have needed work that have taken priority.

Is there a timeline of what's being worked on right now and what features are planned in the next update(s) or when the next update(s) will be?(I am a software dev too so if you don't know or don't want to say, that's fine, just curious as to the project progress)
