Question / Help Retaining Video Source Time Between Scenes

I'm using an animated background for a stream. The only issue I'm having is that whenever I want to change the overlaying slide, I'm switching between scenes, which restarts the video source for the animated background. Is there any way around this? Is there a way to hotkey show/hide multiple sources, or to retain the current timestamp of the video between different scenes using the same video source?

Adding it as a global source seems to be what you need.

Delete it from your scenes, press the Global Sources button, add it as a global source and then add it back to all the scenes you want it to be in.
