Okay so here is my problem; in CS:GO my resolution is 1280x1024 - 4:3
If I set my resolution in OBS to that it is 5:4 instead, which means the recording is a square not stretched to fit the screen.
Can anyone help?

1280x1024 is a 5:4 resolution, not 4:3.

The "solution" is to either not play in a 5:4 resolution and instead play in a 16:9 resolution, or stretch the picture so that is smooshed and warped.

How do I stretch it?

Press Edit Scene and hold shift while dragging edges.

Or, if you're using Game Capture, check "Stretch Image to Screen" and "Ignore Aspect Ratio".
