Question / Help resolution issues in obs

Hello, first time streamer. I am having some issues with the resolution of the game capture. I have it set for 1920x1080, yet it is not showing the whole screen on my game (rocket league). It looks like it is auto changing the resolution and has a black bar on the bottom and right hand side. When I look at it on twitch it is showing the black bars as part of the stream.

anyone have any ideas on what the problem is?

Have you done the right-click, position/size, fit to screen on the game capture source?

Hello, I've messed with that. What it does is it stretches the game to remove the black borders. It is still missing the bottom and right sides of the game.

Did you try removing and re-adding the source to make sure you didn't accidentally crop?

I just tried that and it did not work. Same thing keeps popping up. Here are some screen shots of what it looks like.

What dpi settings are you using in windows?

Is that the same as PPI? it should be around 138

Because using a gui scale of anything other than 100% will cause this problem.

Is there a specific setting in OBS that I can click to ensure this doesn't happen?

You might be able to adjust compatibility properties on the OBS shortcut to ignore display scaling.
There's nothing built into obs.

Out of curiosity, have you tried downscaling to 720 instead of entering a custom resolution manually?

My native resolution is 4k; if I manually enter in a resolution of 1280x720 it will look similar. Basically a 1280x720 capture of the 4k picture. Downscaling it to 720 shows my entire window.
