I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this before, but I recently had this idea and it'd be really cool if something similar could be implemented in the OBS rewrite.
When you're live there is no way to edit scenes without the whole process being visible. I thought it might be nice if you were able to edit scenes behind the scenes while broadcasting another. This enables you to quickly put something together in the background, and may look more professional. The way I had envisioned it is something like this:
The split screen would only show up when you have a scene selected that is different from the one you're broadcasting.
Just an idea! Another way you could implement this is by having detachable preview panels.
