Question / Help Repeated sound and overlay

Hey all,

SO im basically halfway with setting up my stream. Was able to stream yay..but not entirely with what i wanted.

I've tested my sound and when i say test test, the stream will playback my sound each and everytime. I heard test test over 10 times now and even audience hears it.

How can I fix this?

I made a source with an image that i want displayed on my game capture. right now it doesnt though. The image is in my sources but it does not show up when i enable the game window.
Can this be fixed?

Watching your stream with audio enabled on the same PC you're streaming from will cause OBS to record the playback audio, resulting in a sound loop. If you must watch your own stream while live, mute the playback window.

im having trouble disabling playback for mics in windows 7.
where would i find this option?

I'm not sure why you would want or need to disable your mic, just click the mute button on the video player that's playing your stream.

it doesnt fix that. Ive muted myself on the twitch channel thats playing my stream and it will simply keep re-saying what i am saying..

Your viewers hear what OBS records. If you open your live stream in a browser then OBS will start recording that audio too, which means it will then be played back through the live stream, OBS will record it again, the live stream will play it back again, etc. and now you've got an awful loopback. Mute the stream and OBS can't record the audio from it, so it won't loop.

I don't see anything obviously wrong with your OBS sound settings. Do you have your dashboard open somewhere? The video will play back there as well. Does the problem still happen if you close your browser completely?
