Question / Help Repairing corrupted local recordings

So I've been locally recording my streams for quite a while, and every now and again I rather foolishly close OBS too soon after stopping the recording, causing the local recording file to corrupt (yes I know there's a warning, but I realised yesterday I'd always been pressing "No" and not "Yes" to wait >_> ).
Is there any way to recover even a part of these video files? Or are they a lost cause?

Just maybe you can use an Encoding Programm like Handbrake and try to encode the remaining files, but I doubt it will work.

Ah ok thanks anyway.

As an aside, when I was streaming yesterday I waited for about a minute after cutting stream/recording and when I clicked the X to close the pop-up still appeared, I definitely clicked to wait this time, and there was about a 20 second delay before OBS closed, but the file still corrupted, maybe a bug?
