Hey all, I've been reading all the tips and changing settings left and right but cannot stamp out massive frame skips and rendering lag messages.
I previously operated off of a ~7 year old rig with a 1080ti in it, and other hardware from the time. Upgraded to a new one with mostly high-end spec, with a 4090.
I am getting render lag spikes even when just capturing a game off my PS5. Sometimes even just idling. The analyzer says it's because my GPU is overloaded. My GPU says it's chilling at like 2% the entire time.
The first game I noticed it was a significant issue was FFVII Remake on PC. I figured maybe it was such an intensive game that it was the cause. Even when the PC is handling NO games ala a game console, it's an issue. I went back to my older PC rig and played FFVIIR there, and while the framerate native to the game struggled a bit more... OBS did not drop frames.
I'm toggled every setting that the internet can think to suggest, reduced scenes down to just the game source, cam, and mic, and did my best to mirror the settings of my old machine as much as it allows... still with issues.
Grateful for any advice.
