Question / Help Removing sources temporarily

Dear forummembers,

I have a question about OBS, I tried searching about it but I didn't know what to search for exactly.

I'm pretty new to OBS, but what I'm trying to do is the following:
I'm playing a FPS game, which has a lobby and ingame as different "sources" so one is active at a time.

what I want to have:
when I'm in the lobby I want the game to show my monitor 2, along with the lobby in the top right corner (small).
showing monitor 2 and showing the lobby works.
what I also want is to show the game when fullscreen.

here comes the problem:
if I start the game, and put lobby source ontop, it will show a black box where the lobby was.
if I'm in the lobby and put the game ontop, the whole screen will stay black because it tried to render the game which isn't there.

I tried using "color key" however in the game a lot of stuff is black-ish, same for some things in the lobby, removing parts of it. I only want the source to become inactive when the program is gone(since it has nothing to target)

Thanks in advance
Jb

What game is this? If it's anything like LoL, then the best way to stream it is to set up 2 scenes. In the first scene, have a Window Capture of the game lobby, and in the second scene, have a Game Capture of the actual game itself. Then use the Simple Scene Switcher to automatically swap between them: https://obsproject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1785
