When ever I try to open any of my recordings it says that it is not the proper registry file format. The weird thing is that I have opened the files before and they worked.

I already used VLC, I used to use it then this error started to pop up

Sounds like something stole your VLC file associations, re-install VLC and tell it to associate with media files.
